Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) is a high-technology fast growing Mini Ratna PSU under the Ministry of Defence with two production units at Kanchanbagh, Hyderabad and Bhanur, Medak District of Andhra Pradesh. BDL is looking for bright young graduates for appointment as Junior Managers (Grade-I) in various disciplines for its Units at Kanchanbagh, Hyderabad and Bhanur, Medak District.

The Actual requirement may vary based on further assessment. Further, 2 posts out of 27 are for Persons with Disabilities {One for person with Low Vision(VH) and One for Hearing Impaired (HH) } which may be from any category of candidate selected.

 

Scale of pay and other allowances:

The selected candidates will be placed at the minimum of the scale of pay of Rs. 6550-200-11350/- (Grade-I) (Pay scales are due for revision w.e.f. 01.01.2007). Besides Basic Pay, DA, Company Accommodation (Bhanur)/ HRA and CCA at Kanchanbagh, the candidates will be eligible for allowances like Professional Development Allowance, Washing Allowance, Lunch Allowance, Conveyance Allowance, Production Linked Annual Incentive, Quarterly Incentive, LTA, etc. Other benefits like Leave, Medical Facilities, PF, Gratuity etc. would also be admissible as per Company rules.

 

Qualification:

 

1. Technical Posts:

Essential: Degree in Engineering or Technology in Computer Science/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Mechanical / Metallurgy branches of Engineering from any recognized University/ Institution with minimum 60% of marks, in the aggregate. *
Desirable: To indicate GATE score Minimum experience of two years

 

2. Finance Posts:

Essential: (a) Pass in Final Examination of ICWA/CA or pass in SAS Examination conducted by the Comptroller & Auditor General of India. (OR)
(b) MBA with specialization in Finance from a recognized University / Institution with minimum 60% of Marks, in the aggregate.* The course should be of a minimum duration of 2 years and recognized by AICTE / AIU / UGC. Preference will be given to the candidates from Indian Institute of Management.
Desirable: Minimum experience of two years

 

3. Relaxation:

  SC/ST/OBC (Non creamy layer) candidates for both Technical and Finance posts should have secured a minimum of 50% marks, in the aggregate. *

 

* Average of marks scored for all the Semesters / years OR corresponding marks of CGPA rating /Gradations in their examinations.

 

 

Age:

As on 01-01-2007 not above 28 years for General Candidates. Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years in respect of SC/ST and 3 years in respect of OBC (non creamy layer) candidates. Candidates belonging to OBC (non creamy layer)category are required to produce Community certificate in proof of their community at the time of Interview (not older than 6 months as on 01-01-2007), stating that they do not come under the Creamy layer, from a Competent Authority, in the prescribed format. In respect of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) upper age limit is relaxable by 10 years, which will be over and above the relaxation admissible for candidates belongings to SC/ST/OBC (non creamy layer). For candidates who had ordinarily been domiciled in the state of Jammu and Kashmir during the period 01-01-1980 to 31-12-1989, upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years. Relaxation will be extended as per rules in respect of Ex-Servicemen/Commissioned Officers/ECOs/SSCOs who have rendered at least 5 years of Defence service and have been released on completion of assignment.

 

Application Fee:

Rs.200/- which is non-refundable, is to be sent in the form of crossed Demand Draft drawn on any Nationalized Bank in favour of “Bharat Dynamics Limited” payable at Hyderabad along with Registration slip to “Advertiser, Post Box No.4420, Kalkaji Post Office, New Delhi-110019”. Applicants belonging to SC/ST/Persons with Disability are exempted from payment of application fee.

 

Selection procedure:

Eligible candidates will have to appear for an Objective Type Competitive Written Test. The venue of the Written Test will be at Hyderabad. The candidates will have the option to have the Question Paper in English or Hindi and the option once exercised at the time of registration shall be final. The candidates short-listed in the Written Test will be called for Interview at Hyderabad.

 

Health:

Applicants should be of sound health and should meet Medical standards prescribed by the Company. Appointment of selected candidates will be subject to receipt of satisfactory medical report from the Government Assistant Civil Surgeon/Civil Surgeon as per the Medical Standards prescribed by the Company.

 

General Conditions:

1. Management reserves the right to increase/decrease the number of vacancies advertised as per the need or cancel the advertisement itself without any notification.

2. Management reserves the right to fill or not to fill the posts and mere fulfillment of qualifications and other requirements laid down does not entitle a candidate to be called for Written Test / Interview.

3. Management reserves the right to raise the minimum eligibility standard etc. in order to restrict the number of candidates to be called for test and/or Interview.

4. Applicants serving in Government, Quasi-Government Organizations, Public Sector Undertakings should produce ‘No Objection Certificate’ at the time of Interview failing which they will not be permitted to appear for the Interview.

5. Appointment of selected candidates is subject to verification of Caste and Character & Antecedents as the case may be, from the concerned Authorities, as per the Rules of the Company.

6. Mere submission of application will not entail a right for claiming appointment.

7. Only Indian Nationals need apply.

8. No correspondence on any matter is allowed.

 

 

How to apply:

Applications should be submitted strictly ONLINE by logging on to BDL Website : http://bdl.ap.nic.in and click on “Recruitments” and subsequently on “RECRUITMENT OF JUNIOR MANAGERS (TECHNICAL & FINANCE)” . Applications will not be accepted through any other mode. The website will open on 15th March 2007 and close on 2nd April 2007 for submission of the application form. The Website will be kept open up to 24:00 hrs on that day for this purpose. Candidates are allowed to apply only once and applications once submitted cannot be altered under any circumstances. Candidates are required to possess a valid e-mail ID, which is to be entered in the Application form, so that intimation regarding downloading of call letter for Written Test/Interview can be sent. BDL will not be responsible for bouncing of any e-mail sent to the candidates. However, necessary information will be hosted on BDL’s Website from time to time. Candidates other than SC/ST and PWD are required to furnish the details of Demand Draft in order to register their application Online. On submission and acceptance of application, the System will generate a Registration Number and the candidates have to print Registration slip.

 

General and OBC ( Non creamy layer) candidates are required to write his/her Name and the Registration Number allotted, on the reverse side of the Demand Draft OR SC/ST/PWD, on the reverse side of their certificates which is to be forwarded along with Registration slip to “Advertiser, Post Box No.4420, Kalkaji Post Office, New Delhi -110019” by post, so as to reach the Office latest by 9th April 2007. The envelope should be superscribed as applied for the post of Junior Manager (mention the discipline applicable viz., Computer Science / Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical / Metallurgy / Finance) (Grade-I) in BOLD LETTERS.

STEP 3 : Read the Advertisement carefully and click on “ Register Online” & fill up the Online Application Form with your details.

STEP 4 : Click SUBMIT, take a print of the Registration slip after it is displayed

SETP 5 : Please do not try to save the online form or the registration slip on your computer as you can reprint the registration slip till the offer is open.

SETP 6 : Paste a recent passport size photograph on the registration slip, attach the DD or Caste (SC/ST/PH) certificate (as applicable ). Please mention your name and registration number on the reverse of the DD/ Certificates. The envelope should be superscribed with “ APPLICATION FOR THE POSITION OF JUNIOR MANAGERS ( TECHNICAL & FINANCE)”.

SETP 7 : You will be intimated regarding the details of examination by email latest by 24th April 2007. On receipt of the email, you will have to once again follow steps 1 & 2 and click on “ PRINT ADMIT CARD”

STEP 8 : Paste a recent passport size photograph and carry the admit card to the examination venue mentioned therein on the date and time indicated in the admit card. Photograph affixed on registration slip and admit card should be the same.

 

For Reprinting of Registration Slip: Follow steps 1 & 2 and click on “ Reprint Registration Slip”. Fill in Date of Birth, Email ID or Registration No.; then click on “Continue” to view and then reprint the Registration Slip.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES

  • The Demand Draft of Rs.200/- needs to be ready before applying online.

  • The applicant has to take print out of Registration Slip on submission of the Application Online. Applicant should note down their Registration number and keep a copy of the registration slip for future reference.

  • Intimation regarding downloading of the Admit Card for the Written Test will be sent by email to candidates who are required to print the same and produce it at the examination centre.

  • The Written Test will be held on 6th May 2007 and eligible applicants should make their own travel arrangements like rail / bus reservations.

  • Interview of the candidates short-listed based on the Written Test would be held at Hyderabad, during June 2007.

  • Selected candidates would be required to complete all pre-employment formalities like medical examination, document verification etc. Please note that no extension of time limit for joining would be granted to the selected candidates.

  • Candidates are advised to read the detailed advertisement before applying, to ensure that they meet all the notified requirements. Candidature of applicants not meeting all the specifications in the advertisement would be cancelled at any stage of the selection process, as and when it is noticed by BDL, without notice.

  • Option to get the Question Paper is English or Hindi is available. Once option is exercised, this cannot be changed.

  • Any change in the notified Schedule, Guidelines for the Written Test and other information regarding the selection would be hosted on the BDL Website, candidates are advised to visit the Website on a regular basis. The website will open on 15th March 2007 and close on 2nd April 2007 for submitting the application form.
