UPPER AGE LIMIT (As on 1st April 2006) : For posts at serial no. 1, 2 and 5 the age limit is; Gen : 30 yrs., OBC : 33 yrs. & SC/ST : 35 yrs. For posts at serial no. 3 & 4 the age limit is Gen : 32 yrs., OBC : 35 yrs. & SC/ST : 37 yrs.

 

BOND PERIOD : For all posts except Medical Officer - to serve for a minimum period of 50 months.

 

EMOLUMENTS : For Management Trainees : Rs. 13,296/- during training (appox.) Regular scale of pay after training Rs. 10,750-16,750/- (E-2 grade). For GDMO : Scale of pay : Rs. 10,750-16,750/- (E-2 grade). Total emoluments at minimum basic Rs. 16,619/- (appox.) as on 01/12/05.

While applying online, candidate should have the following readily available:

 

1: Their e-mail ID (Which must be valid for at least one year from the date of application).

2: Crossed Demand Draft of Rs. 100/- as processing and Examination fee for General and OBC candidates and no processing and Examination fee for SC / ST / PH / Departmental candidates. The Demand Draft is non-refundable and should be Drawn in favour of Coal India Ltd. payable at Kolkata only.

3: Two recent passport size photographs.

*There are no vacancies for PH candidates for S.No. 1 above due to their nature of underground work.

 

Kindly note that the DD Details and valid e-mail ID are mandatory fields without which applications will not be registered.

 

STEP 1 : Login to www.epostbag.com/cil611 and read the contents carefully.

STEP 2 : Click on 'Register online'.

STEP 3 : Fill up the online application form with your details.

STEP 4 : Click SUBMIT, take a print of the Registration slip after it is displayed.

NOTE : Please do not try to save the online form as well as the registration slip on your computer as you can reprint the registration slip till the offer is open.

SETP 5 : Paste a recent passport size photograph on the registration slip, attach the DD and caste (OBC / SC / ST) / PH certificate (if applicable only for vacancies other than S.No. 1 above), along with certificate of date of birth, J&K domicile certificate, relevant qualification with percentage of marks and send the same by ordinary post to the address given below. Please mention your name and registration number on the reverse of the DD. The envelope should be superscribed with “APPLICATION FOR THE POSITION OF MANAGEMENT TRAINEE / GDMO". as applicable

SETP 6 : You will be intimated regarding the details of examination by email latest by 3rd Feb.’2007. On receipt of the email, you will have to once again login to the www.epostbag.com/cil611 and click on “PRINT ADMIT CARD”.

STEP 7 : Paste a recent passport size photograph and carry the admit card to the examination centre mentioned therein on the date and time indicated in the admit card. Photograph affixed on registration slip and admit card should be the same.

 

For Reprinting of Registration Slip : Log on to www.epostbag.com/cil611 and click on "Reprint Registration Slip". Fill in Date of Birth, Email ID or Registration No.; then click on "Continue" to view and then print the Registration Slip.

 

The original Registration Slip with required Demand Draft having name and registration number duly written on the back of DD and Caste / PH certificate (for reserved category only) with relevant qualification, J&K domicile certificate and DOB certificate is to be sent, only by ORDINARY POST so as to reach latest by 2nd Jan. 2007 to :

In case the candidate loses the link, he has to log in afresh as no data will be saved unless the candidate has filled in complete details and clicked “SUBMIT” button when a unique registration no. shall appear and will get displayed on the registration slip. The Candidate must take a Print out of the registration slip.

 

Candidates should take special care not to staple the Demand Draft. They should use steel pins for fastening all documents / demand drafts.

 

The online registration site would remain open from 27th Nov.’2006 to 18th Dec.’2006. All information regarding examination schedule etc. shall be provided through email. Intimation regarding the admit card will be sent to the eligible candidates through email. In addition, the admit card along with sample questions shall also be sent by post to the address provided. Coal India will not be responsible for any loss of email / admit card sent, due to invalid/wrong email ID / Wrong Address / delays / loss in transit etc.

 

GENERAL :

 

1: Selection of candidates will be done through written test which will consist of (i) General knowledge/ Aptitude & (ii) Professional Knowledge. Only short listed candidates based on the result of written test shall be called for interview as per vacancy ratio of 1: 3 in respect of Management Trainees only. As regards Medical Officer selection will be done through interview.
2: Reservation of posts for SC / ST / OBC and physically handicapped candidates will be as per the Government Directives.
3: Age and qualification as on 1/4/2006 : Age relaxation for five years will be granted to the candidates who had ordinarily been domiciled in State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period from 01.01.80 to 31.12.89, provided they should submit a certificate from (a) A district Magistrate with in the jurisdiction he has ordinarily resided (b) Any other authority designated to that effect. No age bar for departmental candidates.
4: Additional age relaxation of five years will also be granted to Physically Handicapped persons in all categories except in Mining, Electrical, Mechanical & Drilling discipline which consists of underground nature of job, subject to submission of certificates of PWD from competent authority.
5: The posts carry attractive allowances and perquisites as per company’s rules like Coalfield allowance (when posted in Coalfields). Non-practicing allowance for Medical Personnel, Leave Travel Concession, Provident Fund, Pension, Gratuity and Conveyance Allowance etc., besides medical facilities for self and dependent.
6: Canvassing in any form or bringing outside influence will disqualify the candidates from being considered for the posts.
7: Inadvertent entertainment of application of any candidate at any stage of selection process shall not accrue any right to the candidate.
8: Candidate called for interview may answer questions in Hindi or in English.
9: Notwithstanding anything contained herein, this notification shall not be deemed to impose any obligation upon the management to recruit / appoint any person / candidate through this advertisement and / or to fill up any vacancy merely because of publication of the notification and shall not confer any right upon anyone / candidate to be appointed in any post whatsoever at any point of time. The management reserves the right to change / alter / modify the terms and conditions of this notification.
10: No TA will be paid to the candidates called for the written test for Management Trainee. Candidates called for interview will be paid single to and fro sleeper class railway fare on production of ticket number/ money receipt.
11: Candidates employed in Govt. / Semi Govt. / Public Sector undertakings should produce NOC from competent authority at the time of interview.
12: Request for change of mailing address/ examination centre / category / discipline, once declared in the application will not be entertained in any circumstances.
13: Wherever grade points are awarded, a certificate of equivalent percentage of marks certified by Institute / authority will have to be attached along with the application.
14: Those who have passed MBA in Sales & Marketing or Personnel Management should submit documentary evidence, at the time of interview, from the Institute / University that they have done specialization in the relevant branch. Candidates having dual specialization in MBA will have option to apply against only one post.
15: A non- refundable crossed Demand Draft towards application fee amounting to Rs. 100/- (No fees for SC/ST/Physically handicapped/Departmental) drawn in favour of Coal India Limited, Kolkata, payable at Kolkata should be enclosed along with the registration slip & forwarded to the address mentioned above.
16: DD payable at the locations other than Kolkata will be not accepted. MO/PO or any other mode of payment is also not acceptable.
17: Applications of only those candidates, who meet the prescribed eligible criteria mentioned herein above, will be considered for appearing in the written test / interview.
